Hi! On Sunday, May 21st I’ll be walking/running to raise awareness and funds for an organization and a community that has a special place in my heart.

I initially started at Friendship Circle in 7th grade as my mitzvah project for my bat mitzvah. I was shy with my first buddy and remember not forming an initial bond. Over the past 5 years I have formed amazing connections with my buddies and learned so much from being in the Friendship Circle program. Every week the kids are even happier than the last to come spend time with the volunteers and do all the activities they love. I look forward to each Sunday that I get to spend time with my buddies. Friendship Circle along with my buddies have grown to have such a special place in my heart.

Friendship Circle Upper East Side works every day to cultivate friendships between kids, teens and young adults with special needs and dedicated teen and young adult volunteers, providing social and recreational opportunities that are otherwise unavailable to individuals with special needs. Hundreds of friendships have been formed and so many lives have been changed for the better because of this beautiful organization.

Now more than ever, I’m inspired to continue supporting this special community. Anything you can give to support my walk/run will be so appreciated and go such a long way. Thank you so much!
